Wandering the streets of Berlin, seeking out a sense of the city seemingly disguised by history, hidden and wary.

But bold and brash, sharp modern next to dilapidated, busy next to unused, rough round the edges, aggressive yet beautiful and unashamedly raw and authentic. The work investigates the physical and psychological scars left by division and reunification in Berlin. Collecting raw textures—chipped concrete, weathered poster layers, barbed wire, sharp contemporary architecture, bold graphic graffiti, and archival fragments—to construct mixed-media pieces that mirror the city’s memory. Visits to museums, war camps, exhibitions, galleries, bars and the big sights, Rather than documenting history, I have found myself exploring how urban spaces absorb political trauma and transform it into a living, breathing canvas for contemporary experimentation.
