CYPRUS – REFUGEE

This body of work followed attending a talk given by MOAS member who sails with a small team of 5 to save migrants from drowning in the Med.

It had a profound effect on me, his story to tell not mine, but a talk which encouraged and demanded artistic interpretation as a way of drawing attention and donations to the organisations working out there in the Mediterranean Sea on the front line.

Migrants, Refuges, Humans fleeing the horrors of war, persecution and deprivation to be exploited by the monsters of trafficking, set afloat on grossly overloaded boats without even the fuel to reach land.
